The Internet Archive’s WayBack Machine is a great tool to see archives of sites. You can see how popular sites like Yahoo looked like when it first started out.
Now, Yahoo joined the ranks of Gigablast and Clusty in providing direct links to “archived” or cached versions of pages from the Wayback Machine. You’ll find a direct link at the top of every page that Yahoo caches that reads, “check for previous versions at the Internet Archive.” Clicking on this link directs you to The Wayback Machine where you will be able to see if older copies for the page you were viewing are archived. This can be a real time saver for those doing research on sites. So instead of having to visit WayBack Machine and performing a search there, Yahoo offers you direct access.
